Polling Day Poll: Alliance of The Irish Left?
In our polling, we asked voters if they would support a left-alliance of parties such as Sinn Féin, Social Democrats, Labour and People Before Profit at the next election. Support for such a proposed alliance was highest among Connolly voters – 51% said they would vote for such a bloc, compared to just 3% of Humphreys and 6% of Gavin voters.
Would you vote for a left-alliance of Sinn Féin, Social Democrats, Labour and People Before Profit at the next election?

However, nearly a quarter of Connolly's base (26%) were unsure or said it depends, and 23% would not vote for a left alliance at all, suggesting her support base is broader and more ideologically mixed than her own views.
Meanwhile, opposition to such an alliance is high amongst voters of candidates that were backed by government parties. A vast majority of Humphreys and Gavin voters (85% and 82% respectively) stated they wold be unsupportive.
